SUGAR SKULLS

You’ll die from all the love that I poured into these cup cakes! That’s why I named them Sugar Skulls.

Here is what you’ll need:

Muffins

1/2 cup or 100g butter

1/2 cup or 100g sugar

2 big eggs

3/4 cup or 100g flour

1 tsp vanilla sugar

2 tsp baking powder


Icing sugar

2 cups or 6 dl powder sugar

4 tbsp water

Whatever you want to put on them

Muffin batter: Melt the butter. Stir in the sugar and eggs when the butter is lukewarm.

Add the flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar. Mix well with a whisk until you get a lump-free muffin batter.

Pour the batter into muffin tins. Fill them a little more than half full. If you have a muffin tray, you will get an extra nice shape and height for the muffins, if you don’t they might melt out and become flying saucers (the taste is still great!).

Bake in the middle of the oven at 180°C or 356°F for 12-15 minutes until the muffins are golden and cooked through.

Let them cool down

Icing sugar: Mix together powdered sugar and water.

Spread icing sugar on the muffins with a spoon, and add desired toppings or sprinkles.
